Aligners should be cleaned once per day to remove food and reduce bacteria buildup. This can be accomplished using retainer cleaning tablets (such as Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or Retainer Brite) or denture cleaning tablets. Aligners should be removed and placed in a glass with warm (not hot!) water, and then the cleaning tablet is added. The solution will work for about 30 minutes, then you can rinse the aligners are place them back into your mouth. Regular cleaning will prevent bacterial accumulation and discoloration of your aligners.
Do not use toothpaste or soap to clean your aligners.
